State College, an archetypical college town adjacent to the flagship University Park campus, has been recognized in national rankings as one of the most livable, safest, and smartest cities in the country. A regional airport makes travel for work or leisure a breeze. You’ll also be within four hours’ driving distance of Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and New York City.

School Districts

The State College Area School District and Bellefonte Area School District boast high schools that rank among the top ten percent in the state, according to U.S. News and World Report, and private school options—with a variety of focuses— abound.

DDAR employees serve at every one of the University’s Commonwealth campuses, enjoying the perks of membership in our University-wide DDAR community while contributing to the tight-knit environments in which they work.
