Utkarsh Singh, Master of Engineering Management 2022
I started grad school like any other international student, with a lot of questions and doubts. But the amazing opportunities that opened up for me at Great Valley made me realize that I had made the right choice. Being a student intern at the LaunchBox made me experience entrepreneurship and gave me a mentor who helped me navigate all the challenges I came across. The valuable career counseling helped me secure an internship at Aqua in the summer. I never thought I could experience all of that in such a short time. I came to Penn State Great Valley to get a degree, but I earned a family, a global family indeed.
Brooke Schneider, Master of Business Administration 2021
I knew I wanted to further my education, and Penn State Great Valley was the only place I applied to. I learned so much from the professors, but also my classmates. The environment presses you to work with people from all different experiences while pursuing a common goal, just like in a corporate setting. Denise Potosky and Richard Wall were two of my favorite professors- I truly loved taking their classes and completing their assignments. Maybe more impactful than anything else was the help I received from Karen Carli in Career Services. She completely revamped my resume, taught me how to target jobs that fit my strengths, and provided interview tips. Within a month of working with Karen I interviewed and was offered a job at Boeing, where I am currently thriving in a Procurement Analyst position.
